Position Overview
The Fleet Asset Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting field operations by managing asset disposal, transfers, title processing, and maintaining accurate records.
The Fleet Asset Administrator will serve as a vital link between Waste Connections' third-party vendor and the accounting and field operations teams. This role will ensure smooth communication and coordination, facilitating efficient asset management and operational processes within the Fleet Maintenance Team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills. A background in fleet operations or maintenance is preferred, however not a must. This role is essential for supporting the field with its asset management and for the organization's success.

The Fleet Asset Administrator will serve as a vital link between Waste Connections' third-party vendor and the accounting and field operations teams. This role will ensure smooth communication and coordination, facilitating efficient asset management and operational processes within the Fleet Maintenance Team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the disposal process of rolling stock assets through effective collaboration with field maintenance personnel, third-party, and management.
- Collaboration with the accounting group on sale of asset payments and fixed asset database accuracy.
- Work closely with regional maintenance managers to identify surplus assets that require transfer to other operating facilities or sale.
- Maintaining the Maintenance Database system, moving assets to archive, ensuring data accuracy, and integrity of fleet data.
- Asset title management for assets to be sold to third parties, checking for possible liens and missing titles from acquired companies.
- Prepare and present regular fleet status reports to management.
- Other Duties as required.
- Effective communication - ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner to all stakeholders across the company.
- Analytical thinking - ability to assess complex issues, identify solutions and ensure accuracy in execution.
- Self-Starting - take independent action and go beyond what the job or situation requires.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Results-oriented - Strives to achieve high levels of individual and organizational performance.
- Strong customer relationship skills.
