Avionics Systems Engineer

Overview:

We’re seeking a Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting complex aerospace and defense projects. This role offers hands-on experience across mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering domains, contributing to the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze various systems and architectures
• Perform requirement decomposition and develop block diagrams
• Conduct trade studies and present findings for review
• Support Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR)
• Contribute to MBSE modeling and presentation materials
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines and support both sides of the V-model

Required Skills:

• Strong foundation in design and engineering principles
• Familiarity with systems engineering practices
• Programming experience in Java, C++, or Python
• Active security clearance
• Exposure to aerospace or aircraft systems

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw)
• Familiarity with DOORS or Jama for requirements management
• Understanding of product lifecycle management
• Configuration and Status Management (CSM) experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
