Daikin Comfort Technologies Mfg, LP. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Regional Purchasing Manager position located at our Daikin Texas Technology Park in Waller, TX. The Regional Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing the ordering process for all parts and supplies direct to the branches. This also includes specific vendor management and inventory management along with supporting branches, vendors and sales teams for sales growth.

Position Responsibilities may include:
  • Place purchase order to vendors to meet branch need
  • Work with Regional Parts Managers and Branch Managers on reducing excess/dead inventory
  • Work with Branch and Vendors on ensuring each Branch in their region is carrying the right" products to support the regional customers.
  • Create regional reports on inventory, slash numbers dollars, past due invoices and others assigned by manager and VP of PSA.
  • Support business leaders across the region and contributes to the realization of their strategies by developing purchasing strategies and implementing global purchasing strategy for raw materials, packaging and indirect materials in the region.
  • Collect and interpret market data related to materials and suppliers to develop and create plans for the short-term and long-term security of supply / supplier position
  • Develop action plans and sets targets for each site purchasing team and ensure delivery in own region and through counterparts in other regions.
  • Develop, implement and improve purchasing work processes in the region.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers in the region, assuring continuity of supply at lowest possible total costs and is responsible for several purchasing contracts/frame contracts for the BU for key products.
  • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.
Nature & Scope:
  • Ensures work is aligned with the Director's expectations, goals, and vision
  • Accountable for implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results
  • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from Senior Manager/Director
  • Works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects
  • Provides guidance and training to subordinates
  • Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance and recommend for termination
  • Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Systems Experience: Mapics/Mincron
  • Product Knowledge: HVAC Aftermarket Parts
  • Strong delivery focus with good analytical, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Project and change management skills and experience.
  • Flexible approach, stakeholder management, good organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
Experience:
  • 3+ years working experience in planning/inventory management
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree
People Management: No
