Job Description
I am seeking motivated individuals to join our client's team of production assemblers who are assembling solar equipment and enclosures in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This hands-on role focuses on building and fastening products, panels, and mechanical and electronic components using basic hand and power tools, with full training provided. It is ideal for individuals who are reliable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable performing physical work while standing for most of the shift.
Responsibilities
- Assemble parts and components by following clear written and verbal work instructions.
- Use basic hand and power tools, such as drills and torque wrenches, to build and fasten frames, panels, and other mechanical and electronic components.
- Push and maneuver carts loaded with up to 750 pounds of equipment and battery modules as part of the production process.
- Perform basic visual inspections to verify that parts and assemblies are built correctly and meet quality expectations.
- Follow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work area.
- Perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods, including lifting, positioning, fastening, and tool work.
- Collaborate closely with team members and material handlers to maintain steady production flow and meet daily output goals.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and safe by following housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers and gauges to confirm dimensions and fit where required.
- Utilize SAP systems for basic inventory tracking and material movement as directed.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance, a positive attitude, and openness to coaching and on-the-job training.
- Adhere to all site-specific safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and composite or steel-toe footwear.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, bending, and pushing heavy carts.
- Comfort standing and working on your feet for the duration of the shift.
- Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with tools such as torque wrenches, drills, crimpers, and other hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong teamwork skills with a reliable, positive attitude and willingness to be coached.
- Ability to consistently move, lift, and walk throughout the shift as part of the assembly process.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical equipment and in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Willingness and ability to wear and maintain required safety footwear such as steel toe or composite toe shoes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in labor, warehouse, construction helper roles, automotive work, or other hands-on jobs is helpful but not required.
- Exposure to mechanical assembly, assembly line work, or general production environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting, machine operating, and material handling in a manufacturing process environment is advantageous.
- Comfort using calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions is preferred.
- Mechanically inclined candidates with hands-on hobbies or practical mechanical interests are encouraged to apply.
- Open to Spanish-speaking candidates who have a basic understanding of and ability to communicate in English.

Work Environment
The role is fully on-site in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Employees initially work in the current building and later transition to a new facility, supporting multiple departments focused on battery enclosure production. Safety standards include OSHA-compliant training, personal protective equipment, and site-specific safety orientation for all workers. The environment requires strict adherence to attendance and timekeeping protocols. Work is physically demanding, involving frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, and pushing carts loaded with up to 750 pounds of equipment while standing for extended periods. Technologies and equipment used include forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), pallet jacks, carts, torque wrenches, drills, crimping tools, calipers, gauges, and SAP systems for inventory tracking. Employees must wear composite-toe or steel-toe safety shoes as part of the required dress code.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
