What You’ll Do

As an Extruder Operator, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently and producing high‑quality products.

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust extrusion lines to maintain consistent quality and output
  • Set up machines according to production specifications, including temperatures, tooling, and material changes
  • Perform routine inspections, make adjustments, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
  • Complete accurate production, quality, and process documentation
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and manufacturing standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet daily goals

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 1–2+ years as an Extruder Operator or Machine Operator in plastics, polymer, rubber, or industrial manufacturing
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read work instructions and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges)
  • Quality‑Driven: Strong attention to detail with experience performing inspections and basic troubleshooting
  • Physical Ability: Comfortable standing, lifting, and working in a production environment
  • Team‑Oriented: Reliable, safety‑focused, and motivated to improve processes

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
