This position is vital to ensuring the robust quality and delivery of communication products for national security.

Responsibilities

  • Develop architectures for high-throughput complex designs involving cryptographic algorithms (VHDL) with high-speed protocols such as NVMe, PCIe/SRIOV, 10G-400G Ethernet, and TCP/IP.
  • Implement and integrate IP targeting ARM SOC FPGAs or ASICs.
  • Write and debug tests/sequences for end-to-end simulation on the UVM framework with System Verilog Assertions.
  • Conduct software-driven validation on SOC evaluation boards utilizing state-of-the-art EDA flows/methodologies, including Synopsys DC/Primetime/Synplify, and Xilinx/Intel/Microchip EDA tools.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (or a Master's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing complex algorithms targeting ASICs/FPGAs.
  • Proficiency in VHDL and FPGA design/debug using Xilinx FPGA/Vivado.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
  • Experience mapping algorithms and standards (Ethernet, TCP/IP, AXI) to hardware.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High-Level Synthesis (HLS) with Vivado.
  • Experience with embedded software development (OOP) and System Verilog Assertions (SVA).
  • Knowledge of high-speed protocols like PCIe, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.

Work Environment

The position is full-time, onsite in Herndon, VA, or Camden, NJ, with a 9/80 work schedule. The role involves supporting cryptography products for military applications, including aircraft, ships, and satellites. The team has recently secured multiple projects, offering long-term contracts with the potential for direct hire.
