Job Title: Project Engineer/Geologist
Job Description
Join a dynamic, multi-disciplined engineering firm that specializes in environmental and geotechnical projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to join our Northern, VA office. This role offers professional development and growth opportunities with a pathway to becoming the Branch Manager for the Leesburg, VA office
Responsibilities
- Support site investigations, characterizations, and remediation efforts for environmental and geotechnical projects.
- Evaluate geologic site conditions impacted by inorganic and organic contaminants.
- Apply recognized remediation approaches to address contamination and reduce risks to on-site and off-site receptors.
- Conduct risk assessments, including organic vapor mitigation for sub-slab and ambient air conditions.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, site assessments, and remediation plans.
- Manage and develop client relationships while expanding professional networks.
- Assist with project management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality consulting services.
- Work toward a future leadership role, with potential advancement to Branch Manager.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- 8-10+ years of experience in geotechnical and environmental services, including engineering reports, site characterization, remedial design, and implementation.
- Experience with Virginia's Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) and Maryland's Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP).
- Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) or Professional Engineering License (PE) or actively pursuing licensure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and expand professional networks.
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent project management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance skills.

Work will be performed in an open office environment as well as on-site throughout Northern Virginia.
