Description
Our customer specializes in 4 major telecommunications categories- LMR (Land Mobile Radio, IWS (in building wireless systems, IDAS), ITS (Intelligent transportation systems), and Physical Security
Our customer has a number of In building projects that they will work on over the next few years, this includes the construction and maintenance of in building wireless access points. They are currently supporting projects in the Federal, State and Local government, and education, transportation, and healthcare field.
This scope specifically is for the Manassas, VA location to help support an increase workload including wireless installation, cable management, testing, troubleshooting, customer service, customer relations, etc.
They will be supporting multiple clients that are tied into the AT&T network. This person must have low volt coax install, rack and stacking, dressing and labeling experience (testing/troubleshooting is a plus). They should also have fiber experience.
DAS experience is nice but not a must for this role. If they have worked with 1/2" coax, OEM's like: JMA, Corning, Commscope, SOLiD, ADRF, Mobile Access...etc
There will be a 40 hour work week which consists of 4/10s (10 hour days mon-thur, if additional work is there can work Friday's) OT is on average 1 hour per week.
The teams main office is located in Manassas, VA. This resource should be centrally located to Manassas to meet at the office location in the morning and head out to the job site with team. (NOVA, DC, VA)
Responsibilities:
• Supporting Advanced/Lead Technicians during a project.
• Demonstrating proficiency and quality during the installation of project-specific components and equipment that is consistent with manufacturer and company standards.
• Assisting in the installation and support of various cable types (coaxial, fiber, Cat 5/6, etc.) in commercial and residential environments to meet desired quality standards.
• Demonstrating the ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Demonstrating the ability to work professionally at all job sites.
• Assisting in the completion of installations in a diverse range of buildings including stadiums, motor speedways, hospitals, schools, office buildings, and multi-family homes.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work area with orderly tools.
• Maintaining customer confidence by performing outstanding work.
