Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ITIL Network Knowledge Manager to join our IT service management team supporting a DOD customer on Ft. Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, accuracy, and effectiveness of our network knowledge management processes in alignment with ITIL4 best practices.

Clearance requirement: ​TS/SCI

​Responsibilities:

​Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining ITIL-based knowledge management processes for service desk and IT operations

​Develop and enforce quality standards for knowledge articles and documentation

​Monitor, manage, and maintain knowledge articles within ServiceNow

​Conduct regular audits of the knowledge management system to ensure compliance with customer’s policies, procedures, governance and ITIL guidelines

​Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to capture, validate, and organize knowledge effectively

​Analyze and report on knowledge usage, gaps, and improvement opportunities

​Train staff on ITIL knowledge management practices and tools

​Ensure knowledge base articles are up-to-date, relevant, and easily accessible

​Implement continuous improvement initiatives for knowledge management processes

​Coordinate with change management and problem management teams to update knowledge based on incidents and changes

​Support continuous improvement initiatives within the incident management function.

You’d be supporting DTRA, a combat support agency whose mission is to counter and deter weapons of mass destruction—protecting the U.S. and its allies from some of the most serious threats in the world. This is not abstract policy work; it’s mission‑critical enablement for real-world operations.

Within DTRA, you’d work in the Mission Information Technology organization, which delivers secure, resilient, and rapidly deployable IT capabilities across multiple security enclaves, including environments that support live test events and operational missions. The IT systems here have to work—every time, under pressure.

This role is a Senior ITIL Network Knowledge Manager, operating cross‑task‑order within the PMO, with real influence across service desk, operations, and engineering teams. You’re not just maintaining a knowledge base—you’re building the enterprise knowledge ecosystem.

You’ll:

Own and mature knowledge management end‑to‑end using ITIL 4 best practices

Establish standards, governance, and quality controls across all task orders

Turn tribal knowledge into operational leverage inside ServiceNow

Drive measurable improvements in SLAs, MTTR, first‑contact resolution, and incident reduction

Partner directly with incident, problem, and change management to ensure knowledge evolves with the environment

This is a role for someone who understands that knowledge management is a force multiplier—that when done right, it changes how an organization performs.

You’ll also mentor teams, train staff, analyze usage data, and continuously improve how knowledge is created, validated, and consumed. Leadership will look to you as the authority on how IT knowledge should work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
