1st Shift Receiving- GPHE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Receiving Specialist to join our team. The role involves managing incoming deliveries, verifying product quantities, and ensuring accurate inventory control. This position requires proficiency in operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as utilizing ERP systems and Excel tools for inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and product in a timely manner.
• Contact freight companies to schedule pickups through phone or digital portals.
• Receive, sort, label packages, and organize them within the warehouse.
• Consolidate and perform cycle counts on warehouse inventory.
• Execute quality checks and inspections as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including goods and paperwork.
• Build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Participate in team performance and improvement meetings.
• Observe all company policies and procedures.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move products.
• Use ERP system to check in shipments and track inventory.
• Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Train to support all shipping and receiving functions.

• Proficiency in operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in shipping and receiving functions.

• WMS experience and familiarity with computer systems.
• Experience with rf scanners, SAP, and FedEx.
• Ability to perform inventory control tasks effectively.

Work Environment

Work from 8am-4:30pm with potential for mandatory overtime. The position requires wearing steel toe shoes, long pants, and a plain t-shirt, with safety glasses provided. The facility is clean, climate-controlled, and located next to the production area, fostering a great team culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
