Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated general laborer to join our team, assisting with drilling, cutting, and fabrication tasks. You will support welders and fabricators with daily responsibilities, prepare materials, and maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist welders and fabricators with daily tasks.
- Prepare materials and tools needed for welding and fabrication.
- Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and tools.
- Load and unload materials and products.
- Operate basic hand and power tools.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Assemble mechanical components and systems according to specifications.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report any issues or defects in the assembly process.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience in general labor duties and production tasks.
- Capability to operate basic hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Experience in assembly and fabrication processes.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
