Job Description
The IT Service Engineer role involves supporting hardware devices, applications, and systems integral to the company's solutions. It encompasses implementation support, guidance for field support technicians, and managing solution connectivity, functionality, and performance. This position requires expertise in incident, problem, change, and release management lifecycles, utilizing best practices and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain hardware and software solutions in high-availability and production environments.
- Diagnose and resolve system, performance, and data issues.
- Coordinate service activities with other teams and technical resources.
- Identify and address situations requiring urgent attention.
- Troubleshoot performance issues.
- Manage spare parts inventories for hardware solutions.
- Perform electrical or mechanical installation support and repairs of hardware and peripheral components.
- Introduce new servicing tools to monitor and troubleshoot applications.
- Provide assistance to field technicians by answering technical queries.
- Perform and develop monitoring activities.
- Analyze recurring and intermittent problems.
- Adhere to best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior employees.
- Provide clear and accessible technical information to management.
Required Skills
- Experience with camera and vision systems.
- Experience in an agile environment.
- Knowledge of ELK systems (Splunk, DataDog, etc.).
- Strong communication skills.
- Hands-on mechanical experience.
- Desire to learn and adapt.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Python.
Work Environment
- The position offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote. The role may require starting at 10 AM on some days to assist with California clients, ensuring an 8-hour workday.
