Job Description
As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for handling mechanical components and ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned using specialized machinery. This role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and requires a strong work ethic and basic mechanical skills. You will work in a secured production facility dedicated to manufacturing security inks for currency, which includes a varnish facility connected to the production plant.
Responsibilities
- Lift items weighing 50 lbs or more, accounting for 10% of the role.
- Rotate tubs in and out of washing machines and inspect them, comprising 60% of duties.
- Clean the tub room, including floors, walls, and areas affected by ink, making up 20% of responsibilities.
- Manually clean tubs, which covers 5% of the job.
- Experience in production and manual labor.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and janitorial tasks.
- General mechanical skills, including the use of tape measures, reading rulers, and small hand tools.
- Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Capability to roll tubs weighing up to 2,000 pounds.
- Ability to wear and use safety equipment.

Work Environment
The role takes place in a clean production facility that handles solvents, with an ink/paint smell present. It is a physically demanding and dirty job. The position is on the 2nd shift, running Monday through Thursday from 2pm to 12am, with opportunities for overtime. No medical, DOT, licensing, or certifications are required, nor is PPE.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
