Job Title: Production Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead the production of electro-mechanical systems with a focus on precision, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and managing assembly lines involving PCBAs, ESD-sensitive components, kitting, and work order execution. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Preferred experience includes UAV manufacturing and defense and aerospace systems assembly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assembly line, ensuring production targets are met.
• Implement and sustain Lean Six Sigma and 5S methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with ESD protocols and safe handling of sensitive electronic components.
• Manage kitting processes and ensure timely availability of materials for production.
• Coordinate and monitor work orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Maintain high standards of precision assembly and quality control.
• Supervise and train production staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflows.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing an assembly line for electro-mechanical systems.
• Proven expertise in Lean Six Sigma and 5S implementation.
• Strong understanding of PCBAs, ESD protection, and precision assembly.
• Experience with kitting and work order management in ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in production planning and ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in UAV manufacturing.
• Experience in defense and aerospace systems assembly.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Stafford, VA.
