We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team in the dry dock. You will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities- Perform pipe welding tasks in the dry dock environment.
- Adhere to a schedule of Monday to Friday from 6am to 4pm, with mandatory Saturdays from 6am to 2:30pm.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment as needed.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to perform tasks such as rigging, general layout, and plasma cutting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Experience in flux core, stick, and pipe welding.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of construction and welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Fabrication or welding experience is required.
- Must be able to MIG weld for this position.

Work EnvironmentWork in a dry dock setting with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm, and Saturdays 6am to 2:30pm. You will be required to operate a forklift and utilize various welding techniques in a safety-conscious environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffolk, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
