Structural Welder

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team in the dry dock. You will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components based on engineering drawings and specifications.

• Perform pipe welding tasks in the dry dock environment.
• Adhere to a schedule of Monday to Friday from 6am to 4pm, with mandatory Saturdays from 6am to 2:30pm.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment as needed.
• Apply mechanical knowledge to perform tasks such as rigging, general layout, and plasma cutting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.

• Experience in flux core, stick, and pipe welding.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
• Strong knowledge of construction and welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Fabrication or welding experience is required.
• Must be able to MIG weld for this position.

Work in a dry dock setting with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm, and Saturdays 6am to 2:30pm. You will be required to operate a forklift and utilize various welding techniques in a safety-conscious environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffolk, VA.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
