Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Warfare Technician to perform component and system-level maintenance for shipboard systems at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) on Wallops Island, VA. This position offers exposure to advanced technologies, including High Energy Laser systems, next-generation radars, and the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP), providing valuable opportunities for career enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment and system-level maintenance on AN/SLQ-32 variants and SEWIP systems at AEGIS and SSDS facilities.
• Provide equipment configuration and operational support, including scheduling planned maintenance actions in accordance with the Navy’s Maintenance Material Management (3M) system.
• Document maintenance actions, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program.
• Isolate faults and restore systems to operational status when issues arise.
• Operate and troubleshoot the Electronic Warfare suite, ensuring system functionality.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience performing fault isolation, casualty restoration, and preventive maintenance on systems and equipment.
• PQS 301 qualification or the ability to obtain it within three months of employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance is preferred.
• Certified ETA Fiber Optic Installer.
• Security+ Certification.
• Experience with network devices and understanding of operating systems, preferably RedHat or UNIX.
• Preference for candidates residing in, or willing to move to, a Small Business Administration (SBA) designated Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) area.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wallops Island, VA.

The pay range for this position is $77000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

i am working on getting more information from them - they do offer up to 7500 in relo assistance paid out over time. this is a 12 month incremental DP

This is a fully onsite position in Wallops Island,VA.

This position is anticipated to close on Apr 10, 2026.
