About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead business development efforts for our advanced sonar systems, designed for integration into Autonomous and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (AUVs/UUVs). This role is ideal for a technically proficient sales professional with deep industry knowledge and a passion for driving strategic growth in the defense and marine technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities across defense contractors, AUV manufacturers/integrators, and academic institutions.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies aligned with company goals and product development timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into tailored sonar solutions.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer sites to enhance market visibility and gather competitive intelligence.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, and CRM records to support business planning and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marine Science, Oceanography, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience selling high-value technical systems in the defense, sonar integration, or marine technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of AUV/UUV platforms, subsea mission profiles, and sonar technologies (e.g., side-scan, multibeam).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in terms of customer value.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with or selling to defense contractors and AUV manufacturers.
- Experience in naval operations, particularly in undersea warfare, mine countermeasures, or Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).
- Established network within the unmanned maritime systems community (defense and commercial).
- Proven success in sales strategy and program capture
