We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in saw operation and forklift driving. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating band saws, especially for cutting steel, and proficiency in using a sit-down forklift. A keen eye for detail, the ability to read a tape measure, and performing visual quality control are essential skills for this role.
Responsibilities- Operate band saws to cut steel and other materials according to specifications.
- Drive and operate sit-down forklifts efficiently.
- Read and interpret tape measures accurately for precise operations.
- Perform visual quality control checks to ensure the highest standards.
- Apply metal to customer orders and process materials according to work order specifications.
- Maintain processing equipment in a safe and clean condition.
- Ensure the processing area remains clean, safe, and orderly.
- Complete all required information entry accurately.
- Learn to run aluminum saws ranging from 4'-20' long cuts, handling material from .019 to 10" in size.
- Work on various tasks as assigned.
- Previous experience using a band saw for cutting steel.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on your feet.
- Experience in machine operation within metal fabrication and aerospace sectors.
- Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- Good with paperwork and maintaining chain of custody.

Work EnvironmentWork in a large raw material supplier facility where over 60 employees collaborate in a fast-paced environment. The facility stores, cuts, and ships materials to customers. The role involves working on various shifts, with opportunities for differential pay on second and third shifts. The first week involves classroom training, followed by on-the-job training with an experienced trainer.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
