Hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Thursday, occasional partial Fridays

Principle Accountabilities :

Coordinate activity with the Plant Manager and Planner to manage daily schedules to meet production goals, expedites, and quality standards. Simultaneously maintaining an even flow through the departments with a focus on increasing uptime. Approve time records, communicates and implements company policy. Engages in employee development activities, makes recommendations on employee hire, promotion and disciplinary action. Maintain a clean, safe and injury-free work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all employees.

This role is hands-on and primarily based on the production floor, with a focus on actively supporting and maintaining daily workflow, addressing real-time issues, and ensuring smoot day-to-day operations. Desk work is limited and generally supports your responsibilities on the floor.

Analyze production performance, identify opportunities, make recommendations for process and equipment improvement, establish and execute goals. Supervise efficient operation of equipment including the inspection of materials, products and equipment to detect and/or prevent malfunctions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a leadership capacity in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in coaching, training, teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Six Sigma
  • OSHA Safety courses
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Own the shift, oversee training, quality, safety, and hitting key performance metrics. Manage labor and move personnel where needed. Ensure team is cross trained and work with HR to identify and fill open positions
  • Proficient in Outlook and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals throughout the company on departmental procedures, policies, and requests for information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and communicate with production team and management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing processes
  • Willingness to learn internal production software
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
