Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in operating band saws and sit-down forklifts. The role involves working in a fast-paced aerospace environment, handling metal fabrication tasks, and ensuring quality control in every process.

Responsibilities

• Operate band saws to cut steel according to specifications.
• Utilize sit-down forklifts for material handling and logistics.
• Read and interpret tape measures for accurate measurement.
• Perform visual quality control to maintain high standards.
• Apply metal to customer orders and process materials as per work order specifications.
• Ensure processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly processing area.
• Complete all required information entry accurately.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with band saw operation.
• Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to read tape measures accurately.
• Attention to detail and ability to work on your feet.
• Strong paperwork management and chain of custody skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attendance and work history.
• Comfortable in a warehouse environment.
• Willingness to learn and train on aluminum saws ranging from 4'-20' long cuts.

Work Environment

Work in a large raw material supplier facility with over 60 employees on the floor. The fast-paced environment involves storing, cutting, and shipping materials to customers. Shifts vary with options including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts to accommodate diverse schedules. The facility is located in Auburn, WA with specific suite locations for main operations and titanium handling.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
