Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, attentive, and professional Medical Assistant – Certified (MA‑C) to join our care team. As a key member of the clinic, you will help support smooth patient flow, assist providers, and ensure patients receive high‑quality, culturally responsive care. Our clinic serves a diverse community, including Medicaid and uninsured patients, with a strong focus on supporting the Latino population in Washington State.

New graduates with an active MA‑C certification are strongly encouraged to apply!


Responsibilities

  • Room and exit patients following established clinical protocols
  • Conduct pre‑visit planning to ensure providers have all necessary information
  • Manage all aspects of the rooming process, including vitals and screening questionnaires
  • Coordinate care and communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and the broader care team
  • Ensure clinical quality measures are completed and documented
  • Process and complete provider referrals accurately and promptly
  • Assist medical providers by documenting office visits to support thorough and coordinated care
  • Support patient education and follow‑up instructions as directed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Active Washington State Medical Assistant – Certified (MA‑C) license
  • 0–1+ years of experience (new grads with certification are welcome)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced team environment
  • Commitment to providing culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), especially Epic
  • Phlebotomy experience (venipuncture and specimen collection)
  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment

This position is within a community health clinic dedicated to providing high‑quality, accessible care to underserved populations. The clinic uses a team‑based care model, with two Medical Assistants assigned to each provider. You will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds, particularly within the Latino community, in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellevue, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.09 - $25.09/hr.
