Description
Looking for a Leave Partner to administratively support US leaves of absence, accommodations, and general time off requests. You will report to our Benefits Director, and this position can be remote/hybrid.
- This is a remote role located within the US.
- Monday-Friday. 40 hours a week with no overtime.
- Anticipated start date: 8/18/25. Duration: 6 months. Anticipated end date: 2/13/26. No potential for full-time conversion.
- A laptop is required for this role.
You Will:
● Manage the full-cycle leave of absence (LOA) process for employees, managers, and internal business partners while providing a positive experience
● Understand and break down complex processes to advise managers and employees on the interaction of statutory leave laws with paid time off, workers’ compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits
● Maintain complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements
● Perform quality checks of absence-related data and ensure the accuracy of all leave and time off utilization internally through the HRIS (Workday) and externally with Smartsheet’s LOA TPA (Unum)
● Partner internally with People Business Partners, People Operations, and Payroll teams ensuring leave administration is delivered consistently
You Have:
● At least two (2) years of LOA administration experience in Workday
● Knowledge of leave management systems with emphasis in FMLA, ADA, USERRA, HIPAA, and requirements of various states
● Experience related to various types of pay and absence benefits, including PTO/vacation, sick pay, short-term disability, long-term disability, and others
