This role involves maintaining and repairing stationary and mobile power generation systems ranging from 500 Watts to 2,500 Kilowatts, including auxiliary components and station service equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on diesel and gasoline engines, generators, air compressors, hydraulic systems, and fuel systems.
- Inspect and service fuel, coolant, compressed air, hydraulic, and lubricating oil systems.
- Operate and troubleshoot electrical controls including motor control centers, transfer switches, and battery chargers.
- Use specialized tools and instruments such as torque wrenches, multimeters, dial indicators, and load banks to evaluate and repair equipment.
- Conduct lockout/tagout procedures to safely isolate systems.
- Operate emergency generators during tests and actual emergencies.
- Record and evaluate system readings such as temperature, pressure, and RPM.
- Perform incidental tasks across classifications as needed, with applicable wage adjustments.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy diesel power generation equipment maintenance and repair.
- Completion of a 4-year technical training program or recognized apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proficiency with diesel engines powering generators of 500 HP or more.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Must own and maintain trade-specific hand tools.
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42.45 - $42.45/hr.
