Job Title: Sheet Metal Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a Yard workers who can efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials in line with plans and specifications. The ideal candidate will understand written and verbal instructions, follow drawings and work instructions, and work with metal cladding, insulation, and steel components. Experience in carpentry, roofing, material handling, mechanical assembly, and maintaining a safe work environment through organization and housekeeping is essential.
Responsibilities
- Assemble structural metal building panels in a manufacturing setting.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Accurately use measuring devices, including squares and tape measures.
- Participate in safe material handling and suspended load movements.
- Follow instructions and execute assigned duties.
- Complete tasks within set timeframes to ensure goals are met.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, repair, assembly, and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with general trade skills for siding, roofing, metalworking, or assembly for at least 2 years.
- Skillful operation of non-specialized shop equipment.
- Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch.
- High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to select the proper tool for tasks and ensure proper operation.
- Participate in the development of processes for repeatable execution of tasks.
- Positive attitude; negative individuals will not be tolerated.
- Must have knowledge about the role prior to interviewing.

Work Environment
Work in an open-air building exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. Regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, and work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Be able to lift, pull, and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 70 pounds. Work in a team of 2-3 people, with potential overtime based on performance, and shifts on Fridays from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
