Job Title: Manufacturing Planner


Job Description

As a Manufacturing Planner, you will be responsible for planning and leading processes to develop, implement, and maintain various manufacturing plans, including Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. You will develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives, prepare build analyses and cost estimate reports, and lead integration of complex suppliers' processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. You will also participate in source selection, develop complex tooling requirements, manage tooling from initial design to end-of-use disposition, and lead investigations to resolve complex manufacturing-related issues.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead processes for developing manufacturing plans and documentation.
  • Develop and plan manufacturing strategies to support business objectives.
  • Prepare build analyses and cost estimate reports.
  • Lead integration of suppliers' processes and technology to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Participate in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Develop tooling requirements and manage tooling lifecycle.
  • Investigate and resolve complex manufacturing-related issues.
  • Lead teams in producibility assessments of design concepts.
  • Support enterprise-level benchmarking to incorporate best practices.
  • Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and document new job practices, techniques, and standards.

Essential Skills

  • 6 years of aerospace manufacturing planning experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience in writing and revising work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • AA degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred systems experience: PDM, CAPP, and CMES.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position with a work schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, following a 9x80 work schedule. The role is based in an onsite facility and does not require any domestic or international travel. The work environment is supportive of the 777 team, consisting of 20-25 members. There are no physical demands such as heavy lifting or confined spaces, and safety-sensitive criteria are not required.
