Pay & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $35.00 - $35.50 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Start Time: Between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- Overtime opportunities available
- Occasional Saturday work as business needs require
- Local routes with daily return to the yard
As a Class B CDL Hook Truck Driver, you will:
- Safely operate a Class B CDL hook-lift truck on assigned local routes throughout the Fife and greater Tacoma area.
- Deliver, exchange, and retrieve hook-lift containers at customer locations and disposal facilities.
- Load and unload containers using the truck's hook-lift system.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Secure containers and loads while following all company safety requirements.
- Utilize tablet-based technology to manage route information, electronic logs, and required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Operate equipment safely while utilizing onboard safety technology and monitoring systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
- Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles, including 10-speed, 13-speed, or 18-speed transmissions.
- Hook-lift, roll-off, or container delivery experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for safety and operational purposes.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.
