Inventory/Materials Specialist

Location: Issaquah, WA

Shift: Day Shift, M-F

Pay: $20-23/hr

Job Description

The Inventory/Materials Specialist is responsible for overseeing ERP activities related to receiving, packaging, and stocking of all incoming materials. This role also includes managing the receiving and shipping of all assembly work orders in accordance with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming products and verify that physical quantities match electronic quantities.
  • Verify that part, lot, and quantity picked match the pick list, select appropriate packaging methods, and label parts per customer requirements.
  • Use customer-specific portals to upload documents, create advance shipping notices, and generate bills of lading as necessary.
  • Operate powered equipment such as stand-up forklifts or manual pallet jacks to safely move items within the warehouse and prepare them for shipment.
  • Process small package and LTL shipments through various carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
  • Schedule freight pick-ups daily via phone, email, or online platforms.
  • Communicate daily with sales and purchasing departments regarding order/package issues, delays, damages, or other occurrences affecting outgoing or future orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse both physically and electronically.
  • Ensure accurate closure of purchase orders and work orders.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts on a prescribed basis.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial warehouse environment where the employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 70 pounds, and rarely up to 100 pounds. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and using hands to handle or feel objects, with occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The noise level is usually moderate, but can sometimes be high. Employees are required to have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Issaquah, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
