Job Description
The QA Inspector is responsible for inspecting and evaluating all product characteristics in accordance with drawing and specification requirements. This role involves working with machined and turned cylindrical parts for aerospace applications, including raw materials, in-process parts, first article, and final inspection documentation for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, planning and engineering documents, quality standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing control plans including PCM.
- Apply advanced mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using fractions and decimal equivalents, and be familiar with geometric tolerance.
- Read precision measuring instrumentation accurately, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and tape measures.
- Understand nonconforming products and effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Possess CMM programming experience; experience with CMM Manager is preferred.
- Blueprint reading
- Press brake operation
- Axis and sheet metal knowledge
- A minimum of two years of experience in QA inspection for machined parts and/or assemblies is required; aerospace industry experience is preferred.
- CMM experience is required.
- Experience in machine operation, Mylar Film, Mylar Blueprint, calipers, quality inspection, micrometers, and CMM inspection.
- A combination of related aerospace manufacturing experience and internal training for inspectors may be considered in place of inspection experience.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing environment where you may be exposed to loud noises and machinery with moving parts. The work involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of weights between 1 – 50 lbs, and requires physical activities such as squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, and reaching. Employees should be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 55 – 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and wearing appropriate protective gear such as hearing protection, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes. Shifts available are: 1st Shift (6am - 2:30pm Mon-Thurs), 2nd Shift (2pm - 12:30am Mon-Thurs with a $2 shift differential), and 3rd Shift (6am - 6:30pm Fri-Sun with a $3 shift differential).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $70720.00/yr.
