Job Description
We are seeking an outstanding Manufacturing Engineer who possesses superb technical and analytical capabilities, coupled with a proven ability to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analyses specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering suitable for both prototype and production-level designs.
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems.
- Create work instructions and technical documentation.
- Engage in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize CAD tools such as Solidworks and NX/Unigraphics.
- Contribute to large electromechanical assemblies, NCR, RCA processes.
- Support both development and production programs.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.
- 1+ year of experience with CAD tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience from related internships or college organizations.
- Technical writing experience, including work instructions and test plans.
- Familiarity with automated manufacturing processes and material flow systems.
- Knowledge of QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing.
- Formal training or certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in Redmond, with work hours on the front half of the nights or possible back half nights. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the exciting endeavor!
