Job Description
The CNC Lathe Set-up Operator is responsible for executing and following prescribed standards of CNC operations and set-ups for both prototype and established processes. This role requires meeting cycle times and promoting on-time delivery through performance efforts. The operator will demonstrate knowledge and application of lean manufacturing while promoting teamwork through their behavior.
Responsibilities
- Follow prescribed standards of CNC Lathe operations and set-ups for established processes.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills to meet set cycle times.
- Set up equipment to run production efficiently.
- Actively participate in organizing and improving current processes through SWI change suggestions.
- Proactively maintain established company policies and manufacturing strategies.
Essential Skills
- Experience in CNC operations, troubleshooting, and machine operation.
- Ability to accurately read blueprints.
- Skill in using portable measuring devices in production processes.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and mathematical formulas for product dimensioning.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CNC Machining Certificate or a minimum of 3 years as a Machine Shop Operator.
- Quality-conscious attitude and pride of ownership in responsibilities.
- Knowledge and skills to pre-stage raw materials, perform setups, conduct tool changes, run products, and make tool offsets for proven processes.
- Possession of a reasonably complete set of personal tools to perform setup tasks.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liberty Lake, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
