Job Title: Composite Production TechnicianJob Description

Join our team as a Composite Production Technician, where you will play a vital role in the manufacturing of composite panel products. You will be responsible for handling materials, operating machinery, and ensuring that products meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Pull materials from cold storage and allow them to acclimate according to specifications.
  • Cut materials to the correct size based on work orders.
  • Lay up the cut materials into panel constructions as per work orders.
  • Transfer panel constructions into the platen press, adjusted to the correct temperature.
  • Operate the press to perform the correct burp cycle for optimum removal of volatiles.
  • Remove panel constructions from the platen press after curing for the specified time.
  • Record press processing information on work orders to maintain traceability of panels.
  • Trim panels on CNC machines to specified dimensions.
  • Palletize completed panels for shipping.
  • Maintain storage conditions for temperature-sensitive materials.
  • Actively participate in operational improvement activities.
  • Willingly cross-train or transfer to other departments as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as required and maintain flexibility.
  • Work overtime as needed, including weekends.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in production line, production equipment, and machine safety.
  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing and materials.
  • Skills in production assembly, machine operation, and trim work.
  • General labor and assembly skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant, steady work history preferred, manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Legible handwriting and printing.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities.

Work Environment

The job takes place in a manufacturing facility where the materials side produces pieces assembled into complete panel products. Be prepared for features of the environment like heat, odors from ovens, and flakes of composite materials. Safety shoes with steel or composite toes are required. Shifts available are 1st shift from 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Must be open to working weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
