Job Description

As a Wire Technician, you will be responsible for assembling electrical or electronic systems and support structures, installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, soldering, or micro welding equipment. You will also adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic components to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications. Additionally, you will fabricate parts, coils, or structures according to specifications using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws, and confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities and resolve production problems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all assembly activities of a low voltage technician.
  • Conduct all wiring tasks including cutting, stripping, looming, terminating, and marking.
  • Utilize small hand tools for mechanical assembly of components into cabinets.
  • Conduct functional testing and quality assurance for completed panels.
  • Read, interpret, and comprehend electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Execute all packaging and shipping activities.

Essential Skills

  • Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical circuits and related equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience assembling and wiring low voltage panels.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Electronics/Technical degree preferred.
  • Formal technical training and skills development.
  • Having own tools is a big plus.
  • Experience building/wiring electrical control panels.
  • Any hours toward 06 or 06 A is highly preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is located in a nice building in Mukilteo near Kamiak, where you will have an individual workspace/table that is customizable ergonomically. While you will primarily work independently, flexibility is encouraged to accommodate changing priorities and team goals. Base shift hours are standard, with flexibility available for personal reasons such as childcare.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mukilteo, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
