Job Title: Construction Contracts Manager


Job Description

The Site Construction Contracts Manager plays a critical role in supporting datacenter construction projects by managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle. This includes leading RFP processes, drafting and executing contracts, driving process improvements, and managing escalations.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of construction contracts, including change orders and claims, ensuring alignment with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Participate in sourcing activities for contractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and implement improvements in contract cycle times, documentation standards, and escalation protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows.
  • Act as a liaison between project teams, legal, and suppliers to ensure contract compliance and timely resolution of issues. Support onboarding and training of new project managers.
  • Lead resolution of contract-related escalations, including scope clarifications, pricing disputes, and performance issues. Ensure timely communication and documentation of outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate contract logs, enforce documentation standards, and support audit readiness through consistent recordkeeping.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction contract frameworks, such as Master Construction Contracts and Statements of Work.
  • Expertise in RFP development, bid evaluation, and supplier negotiations.
  • Familiarity with datacenter construction environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP Ariba, construction contracts, and data center construction.
  • Strategic mindset, sense of urgency, ability to lead conversations and take initiative.
  • Driven, strategic, and able to lead projects.
