Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Systems Technician to support our Satellite program. This role is responsible for laboratory operations, working directly
with engineering teams on the assembly, integration, and testing of optical inter-satellite link systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in opto- mechanical systems and the ability to develop and document technical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, integration (including fiber splicing), and testing of optical communication systems.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support product development and testing.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
- Build and test first article units.
- Support laboratory operations and maintain test equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Execute test procedures and record results with high attention to detail.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Essential Skills
- Experience in opto-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- 2+ years of experience in optical systems or related technical field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Photonics, or related technical field.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (preferred).
- Experience with optical communication systems.
- Knowledge of clean room protocols.
- Familiarity with laser safety procedures.
- Experience with precision alignment of optical components.
- Experience in aerospace or satellite communications.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of REDMOND, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
