Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Hardware Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves executing pre-defined and documented test cases with precision and high quality, contributing to the development and validation of hardware devices.
Responsibilities
- Execute manual test scenarios by following detailed instructions.
- Mount devices on various robot fixtures and conduct tests using a provided graphical user interface (GUI).
- Perform functional, stress, system, and other types of testing.
- Identify, report, and provide necessary debug logs during testing.
- Collaborate with developers, test engineers, and product owners to resolve issues found during testing.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and issues encountered through ADO work items.
- Execute maintenance tasks for robot fixtures and hardware test stations.
- Keep ADO work items updated daily with testing progress.
- Proficiency in using oscilloscopes.
- Experience with Python and robotics.
- Familiarity with C# or Python programming languages.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in hardware testing.
- Experience testing in Windows environments.
- Experience using applications with GUI and command line interfaces.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to execute tests with little to no supervision.
- Experience working with robot fixtures.
- Experience programming in C# or Python.
The Hardware Test Engineer will be responsible for testing hardware devices such as laptops and tablets, specifically focusing on the Touch/Pen, Keyboard/Touchpad, and Sensors subsystems. The role involves close collaboration with a team of developers, test engineers, and product owners to ensure thorough testing and validation of hardware. Assigned tasks and progress tracking are managed through ADO work items.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.50/hr.
