- Epic Training Expertise: Proven experience leading the design, development, and delivery of Epic Ambulatory training programs for clinical staff, with a strong understanding of clinician workflows. Must be certified in Epic Ambulatory.
- Epic MST Build Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Epic Master Training Environment (MST) builds and configuration, including troubleshooting and environment maintenance.
- Analytical & Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, understand their needs, and tailor training solutions accordingly.
- Onsite Availability: Must be willing to work onsite in Renton, Washington twice per week.
We are seeking a highly skilled Epic Principal Trainer to lead the design, development, and delivery of training programs across clinical systems, IT platforms, and business processes. This role will be instrumental in managing Epic training environments (MST), executing the Epic Credentialed Trainer Program, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable learning programs for clinical and IT systems.
- Build and troubleshoot Epic MST environments; serve as Epic Mitosis expert.
- Lead and maintain the Epic Credentialed Trainer Program.
- Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to assess training needs.
- Stay current with Epic upgrades and adjust training materials accordingly.
- Provide end-user support and serve as a subject matter expert for Epic modules.
- Conduct engaging training sessions for clinical staff, both in-person and virtually.
- Manage LMS content and documentation in collaboration with internal learning teams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree or clinical certification preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of healthcare experience, including 5 years with Epic systems.
- Experience in MST build, full-cycle implementations, and post-live support preferred.
- Strong communication, instructional design, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Epic Principal Trainer Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and e-learning tools (e.g., Storyline, Captivate).
Salary Expectations
The hiring organization will determine the final level and salary based on experience and qualifications.
- Epic Principal Trainer:
- Range: $80,000 – $112,000 annually
