[Job Description]
A mid-size manufacturing company in South Seattle is looking to hire an Assistant Controller. This role is a direct placement and will be supporting the management of 3 employees (AP, AR, and Payroll), and the pay range is $90-$110k. This is 100% onsite and 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM PST. This position is open to Sr. Accountants or related professionals who are looking to make a step up in their career.

Position – Assistant Controller
Location – South Seattle
Pay - $85k/yr. - $95k/yr.
Schedule – 100% Onsite; 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM PST
[Responsibilities]
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage and process payroll, including reviewing timesheets, ensuring accuracy of earnings and deductions, and coordinating with HR and payroll providers
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in improving accounting procedures.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, as applicable.
- Corroborate with the Controller on accounting issues and functions.
- Perform special projects and financial analysis as requested by management.
[Requirements]
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience within the manufacturing realm.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and payroll practices.
- Experience with Infor Visual (High Bonus, PowerBI, and Excel Proficiency (VBA and Formulas)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate skills using MS Office, HRIS (Paycom is a plus).
