Job Description
The HR Generalist II role involves administering human resources policies and procedures across multiple functional areas. You will collect and analyze HR data to make informed recommendations to management, process paperwork according to established procedures, and prepare internal communications related to compensation, benefits, or company policies. A bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field are preferred. You will rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks under general supervision, typically reporting to a manager. Creativity and latitude are essential in this role.
Responsibilities
- Administer HR policies and procedures across multiple functional areas.
- Collect and analyze HR data to make recommendations to management.
- Process paperwork according to established procedures.
- Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.
- Work in case management systems with varying case volumes.
- Engage in fast-paced environments with quick turnaround times of 1-2 days per engagement.
- Conduct investigations with a 14-day turnaround.
- Manage performance cases actively with 2-3 performance engagements per week.
- Dedicate 75% of time to focused work and 25% to team meetings and collaboration.
- Advise and offer consultation to business leaders.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of HR experience in roles such as HRBP, HR Generalist, ER manager/leader/specialist, or recruiting.
- Strong knowledge of HR fundamentals, including performance management and investigations.
- Experience in corporate team environments, particularly within fast-paced cultures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, HR, or a related field, though an Associate’s degree with equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Amazon experience is preferred.
- Knowledge in benefits is a plus.
- History of progression in previous roles.
- 5+ years of HR experience is preferred.
