Job Title: Production Line Associate – Handmade Cheese

Overview

Become part of a lively, hands-on team dedicated to producing small‑batch, handcrafted cheeses. This position is physically demanding and involves frequent lifting of heavy cheese wheels, each representing high‑value inventory that must be handled with care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support daily cheese production tasks in a fast-paced, artisan food environment.
• Safely lift and move cheese wheels ranging from 40 to 60 pounds throughout the shift.
• Follow established recipes, batching instructions, and labeling procedures with accuracy.
• Maintain strict compliance with GMP standards and FDA food safety regulations.

Key Qualifications

• Ability to consistently lift 40–60 lbs.
• Backgrounds in production, warehouse, or material-handling roles.
• General understanding of food manufacturing or labor-intensive work.
• Comfortable following detailed instructions and documentation processes.

• Adaptability to varying work hours and operational needs.
• Eagerness to grow into a skilled artisan cheesemaker through hands-on learning.

Work Setting

Join an upbeat, collaborative team located in the heart of Pike Place Market. Expect a physically demanding environment with 4-day, 10-hour schedules that include at least one weekend day. The role requires commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork while contributing to a positive, energetic workplace culture.s

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

The pay range for this position is $23.55 - $23.55/hr.
