Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (Spokane, WA)
Job Description: 3 Month Contract with potential for extension/conversion to permanent
We’re hiring Certified Medical Assistants (MA-C) to support a large healthcare network's outpatient clinic in Spokane with providing essential support to physicians and healthcare providers. You will perform both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of patient scheduling, medical records maintenance, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
Specialties include:
Cardiology
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update patient records accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and patients for physician evaluations.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations.
- Take vital signs such as pulse and blood pressure.
- Update medications, allergies, and other relevant information in patient medical records.
- Perform medical procedures, specimen collection, and laboratory testing.
Essential Skills
- Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Experience with EPIC and EHR/EMR systems.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required before starting.
- WA Medical Assistant Certification.
- 2+ years of experience working as a medical assistant
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in medical assisting within adult outpatient clinics preferred.
- Experience working in pulmonology or respiratory clinics is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
The role operates in a dynamic outpatient clinic setting. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Flexibility may be required to float to different areas if needed.
