Job Description
The Technician applies roof coatings and spray foam insulation on large flat commercial roofs using hand tools and spray equipment, working as part of a small team on a variety of commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Apply roof coatings on large flat commercial roofs using hand tools and spray equipment.
- Install and apply spray foam insulation on commercial roofing and related surfaces.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, masking, and setting up equipment and materials as required.
- Handle, operate, and maintain hand tools and spray application equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow construction plans, work orders, and instructions to complete projects to specification.
- Work collaboratively with a small team to complete small and large commercial projects on time.
- Adhere to all site safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing tools, materials, and equipment at job sites.
- Inspect completed work to ensure coatings and insulation are applied evenly and meet quality standards.
- Support general construction tasks as needed to help the team complete roofing and related work.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in the construction field.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a construction environment.
- Capability to operate or learn to operate spray equipment for roof coatings and spray foam insulation.
- Basic understanding of construction job site practices and procedures.
- Ability to work productively as part of a small team on commercial projects.
- Physical ability to work on large flat commercial roofs, including standing, bending, and moving equipment and materials.
- Strong focus on safety and willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Roofing experience is a plus.
- Experience working on commercial construction projects is beneficial.
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn new application techniques and construction methods.
- Dependable work habits and good communication with team members.

Work Environment
You will work on small and large commercial projects as part of a small, close-knit team. The role is field-based, primarily on large flat commercial roofs and construction sites, using hand tools and spray equipment for roof coatings and spray foam insulation. The work involves outdoor conditions and varying weather, as well as physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods. You will follow standard construction site safety practices and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required for the job.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
