Job Description
This role supports a 24-hour manufacturing operation by performing hands-on maintenance on production equipment. You will use your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic expertise to keep machinery running safely and efficiently, while working calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable and continuous operation in a 24-hour facility.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, hoses, and related components.
- Diagnose and repair small motors and pumps, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to identify issues and guide repairs or modifications.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities, including lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements, according to established schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools, test equipment, and diagnostic techniques.
- Support HVAC and PLC-controlled systems by identifying problems and assisting with troubleshooting and basic adjustments.
- Perform basic welding tasks as needed to repair or fabricate parts and supports for equipment.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively while following industrial safety practices and procedures.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support reliable equipment history and planning.
- Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and minimize impact on operations.
- Remain calm and focused when responding to unexpected breakdowns or uncertain situations, maintaining a safe and orderly work area.
- Adapt to changing priorities and shift requirements to support continuous manufacturing operations.
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical skills, including the ability to diagnose and repair production equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including basic electrical troubleshooting and familiarity with 3-phase power.
- Experience with hydraulic systems, including operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience with pneumatic systems, including operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems in an industrial environment.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and PLC-controlled equipment at a basic level.
- Basic welding skills for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and adherence to industrial safety practices.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and attentive in uncertain or fast-paced situations.
- Flexibility to work within a 24-hour operation, including different shifts as needed.
- Industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, including 3-phase systems.
- Exposure to PLC control systems and automated equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks safely and correctly.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a production environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a 24-hour industrial manufacturing facility that operates around the clock to meet production demands. You will work on and around mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including small motors, pumps, HVAC systems, and PLC-controlled machinery. The position involves regular use of hand and power tools, adherence to industrial safety procedures, and performing maintenance in a production environment where equipment is in constant use. Shifts may vary to support continuous operations, and you will work as part of a collaborative maintenance team in a setting that emphasizes safety, reliability, and a positive workplace culture.

This is a Permanent position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
