Job Description
The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining employee records within the company’s software system. This role involves auditing existing personnel files for completeness and compliance, organizing and digitizing physical documents, and ensuring data integrity throughout the process. The clerk will assist with document scanning, indexing, and electronic filing, while collaborating with the HR team to support timely and accurate data migration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to high-quality data management.
Responsibilities
- Enter employee files into the software system with a high degree of accuracy.
- Audit existing personnel files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Organize and digitize physical personnel files as needed.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in employee records.
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
- Assist with document scanning, indexing, and electronic filing.
- Collaborate with HR team members to ensure timely and accurate data migration.
- Support HRIS testing and validation processes.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 1+ year of data entry experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in document filing and electronic recordkeeping.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Familiarity with HR systems and data migration processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with Paycor or similar HRIS platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Basic knowledge of implementation documentation and HR processes.
Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office setting in Spokane, WA, working onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role involves close collaboration with the HR team and may require occasional lifting or organizing of physical files.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
