Job Description / SUMMARY
- The Enterprise Program Manager will be responsible for partnering with Technology and the Business to ensure strategic objectives are met by successfully implementing complex programs that include multiple project teams in support of various business units within the company.
- This includes working with people at all levels of the organization. The Enterprise Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of program oversight.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage requirements gathering in an iterative and collaborative approach. Demonstrate agile focus capturing high-level requirements and then refining them through ongoing collaboration with stakeholders and customers.
- Partner with Tech Product Owner and Leadership to evolve governance as the program progresses. Determine and establish appropriate program governance.
- Ensure expected business outcomes for all projects within the program are adequately defined, reported, and measured at the completion of a project.
- Manage the program team in the successful planning, execution, and implementation of program initiation through program closure.
- Responsible for implementation of complex programs that contain multiple project teams.
- Determine and execute the appropriate project management methodologies on all projects or product delivery teams. Act as escalation point for projects/work streams.
- Ensure all program artifacts are sufficiently documented and conform to audit requirements.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of project and program financials.
- Create, manage, and communicate all Program(s), people resource plan(s), and Programs(s) timeline(s)/schedule(s). Assess and create a plan for addressing program impacts across all affected departments within the company and provide recommendations as needed.
- Provide recommendations to and/or review vendor SOWs/contracts and manage the activities of external (to company) partners and resources that may be working on assigned projects/work streams.
- Manage and communicate multiple program and project level dependencies. Provide recommendations for changes as needed.
- Identify, solve, and remove impediments from the project path.
- Manage program level Risks, Issues, and Decisions (RAID). Own and execute program/ project communication plan(s), program/project leadership, negotiation, and program/project management for potentially multiple programs and projects in parallel.
- Create and manage program level release plans, go-live activities, and support.
- Ensure and lead continuous improvement of program delivery throughout the project management lifecycle while also identifying Tech processes required to effectively realize program outcomes.
- Navigate and oversee challenges while managing results, deliverables, and timelines.
- Provide ongoing coaching and/or mentorship to associate/newer project managers and other project team members.
- Perform additional duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business or computer science or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing programs and/or projects required. Experience in management of Technology and Enterprise-wide projects and programs required.
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience identifying and creating or improving interdepartmental or enterprise processes, documentation, and engineering process flows required.
- Minimum of 1 year of mentoring and influencing employees on responsibilities such as processes, approach, practices, etc. required.
- Experience leading, providing performance feedback, and workload management guidance required.
- Professional project management certifications (e.g. Project Management Professional, Project Management Certification) preferred. Agile certifications and/or relevant education preferred. (E.g. Certified Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner) preferred.
- Experience leading teams and managing delivery using both Agile and Waterfall required.
- Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking problem solving skills required.
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and implement multiple technical and business-related projects required.
- Experience with industry standard project management software tools required.
- Active involvement in professional organizations pertaining to organization change, technology management, program management and community impact preferred.
