Job Title: Hardware Technician


Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hardware Technician to join our team in Woodinville, Washington. The primary role involves visiting nearby locations where our products are installed for customer testing, recording equipment status, maintaining the products, and fostering relationships with host facilities and customers. This position requires regular reporting of findings to the team and collecting data on equipment usage to aid in product improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to fitness club facilities hosting our products under test, with special attention to their members.
  • Travel daily to test facilities, check on test products, interact with club members using them, and record data.
  • Quickly resolve and correct any problems and address concerns from test facilities.
  • Perform repairs and adjustments on member-facing products and equipment.
  • Maintain close tracking and communication of any issues or client interactions with team members in Woodinville.
  • Manage quality tracking, application monitoring, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and storage spaces.
  • Develop and enhance technical expertise in our products to recognize and diagnose problems.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in using hardware, multimeter, test equipment, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and volt meters.
  • Strong aptitude and hands-on skills for mechanical, electrical, and software-based products.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, or similar applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred but not required.
  • Own a car for travel to test facilities, with mileage compensation provided.
  • Experience with Android systems and tablets/screens on equipment.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work regular hours, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Work Environment

The role requires spending approximately two-thirds of the time traveling to clubs to run tests and collect data on equipment, and one-third of the time on-site in Woodinville with the engineering team performing reliability and stress testing. A personal vehicle is necessary for travel between locations.
