Job Title: Fabricator

Job Description

The fabrication position requires expertise in various tasks associated with the operation of machinery such as press brakes, punch presses, metal rolling, drill presses, milling equipment, and lathes. The role also involves performing layout duties, tapping holes, and metal finishing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of equipment including changing punch and die, monitoring equipment for proper function, and removing debris.
• Utilize hand, bench, and light machine operations for tapping, deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing on sawed and machined parts.
• Understand and use a tape measure, square and scribe, calipers, and micrometers.
• Accurately transfer information from blueprints to work pieces using scribe, tape measure, square, protractor, punch, and measuring devices.
• Select appropriate speeds, feeds, tooling, and operational sequences suitable for materials and operations.
• Utilize overhead cranes and fork trucks to receive raw bar stock steel, perform material inspection, verify packing lists, and store steel inventory.
• Ensure accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, correct machine order, and general inspection requirements.
• Set up and operate shears, punches, presses, and other sheet metal processing equipment to perform cutting, bending, punching, burning, and slotting processes conforming to quality standards.
• Post material out of stock and perform paperwork processing requirements.
• Adjust gauges and stops on equipment and calculate bend allowances.
• Use scales, squares, protractor, and gauges to finish sheet metal and stainless-steel components.

Work Environment

Monday through Thursday with a 30-minute lunch break. Voluntary overtime is available on Fridays or Saturdays.

This is a Permanent position based out of Beaver Dam, WI.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Beaver Dam,WI.
