TEKsystems is seeking a Systems Support Technician to join our client’s IT team in Berlin, WI. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for extension or full-time conversion. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of IT support experience and a strong foundation in troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and peripheral devices.
This role is responsible for Tier 1/2 technical support, handling escalated issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT support processes. You’ll work closely with Tier 1 staff, provide rotational phone queue coverage, and ensure high-quality service delivery across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- 40% Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues involving hardware, software, networking, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- 15% Monitor systems and ticket queues; participate in post-incident reviews.
- 15% Manage hardware/software inventory, assist with imaging, configuration, and deployment.
- 20% Provide rotational support phone coverage, handling overflow and high-priority calls.
- 10% Ensure compliance with IT policies, support patch management, and infrastructure changes.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, SCCM, Entra, and Intune
- Strong understanding of networking, wireless, and telecom fundamentals
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Customer service-oriented with a proactive and responsive approach
- Ability to travel to other locations as needed
