Job Description

We are seeking skilled finish and rough carpenters with 3-5 years of experience in carpentry. Candidates must possess strong experience in carpentry and have their own basic tools. Safety consciousness is essential, and candidates must be able to work throughout the greater Milwaukee area with reliable transportation. Compensation is provided for traveling over 30 miles to job sites. Experience in restaurants and retail stores is advantageous. Candidates should be presentable as they may work in businesses during operating hours. The role involves building new high-end luxury apartments, installing trim on walls, doors, windows, cabinets, hanging doors, and cabinet installation.

Responsibilities

• Install trim on walls, doors, windows, and cabinets.
• Hang doors and install cabinets in high-end luxury apartments.
• Work with blueprints, drawings, and building plans to execute construction tasks.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials accurately.
• Use hand and power tools skillfully, including saws, hammers, drills, and nail guns.
• Apply knowledge of framing techniques for floors, walls, roofs, and staircases.
• Layout and assemble framing components as per specifications.
• Adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.
• Solve problems and troubleshoot construction challenges on-site.
• Collaborate effectively with crew members and supervisors.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of carpentry experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and building plans.
• Skilled use of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction standards and safety regulations.
• Mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, quantities, and angles.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with rough carpentry (residential or commercial) and trim work.
• 2+ years of carpentry experience.
• Hardware experience (2+ years).
• Experience with cabinets or door hanging, crown molding, and using a miter saw is a plus.

This is a Permanent position based out of Caledonia, WI.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00/hr.
