Job Title: Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to capture and enhance the assembly process utilizing hydraulic power. The role involves outlining and implementing these processes on the shop floor, working closely with design engineers to improve product manufacturability. Although based primarily in Columbus, some remote work is possible. This position offers the opportunity to integrate new products into our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and document the assembly process with hydraulic power.
  • Outline and work through assembly processes, identifying control plans.
  • Implement processes on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with design engineers on Design for Manufacturability.
  • Make necessary changes to hydraulic units to enhance product viability.
  • Set up testing procedures and ensure torque values are established.
  • Work with the maintenance team and production staff.
  • Define and implement processes for new product integration into the manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in industrial engineering and manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency in time studies and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to improve processes and plant layouts.
  • Experience in assembly lines and new product introduction.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with low volume production environments.
  • Ability to transition from high-volume to low-volume manufacturing settings.
  • An engineering degree is preferred, though not required with sufficient experience.

Work Environment

This role involves working both in an office and on the shop floor. The position is primarily based in Columbus, with the possibility for some remote work. The candidate must be comfortable in a low-volume production environment, integrating new products into the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00/hr.
