Job Description
We are seeking a versatile professional to manage daily accounting functions and provide reliable administrative support to our operations. This position blends financial processing, employee support, and data management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, organization, and a varied workload.
Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, including entering invoices, assigning proper account codes, routing for approval, and preparing payment batches.
- Handle customer billing and assist with monitoring outstanding receivables and collection follow-up.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate vendor and customer information within internal systems.
- Contribute to month-end procedures by completing reconciliations, preparing schedules, and supporting reporting needs.
- Respond to requests from external accountants, banking partners, and lenders.
- Organize and maintain financial documentation to ensure easy retrieval and audit readiness.
- Help ensure data accuracy and consistency within the company’s ERP or accounting platform.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding by preparing employee documentation and coordinating required steps.
- Submit payroll adjustments and updates to the payroll provider as needed.
- Keep employee files and HRIS records accurate and current.
- Assist with benefit enrollment, status changes, and general benefits administration.
- Track time off, attendance records, and required compliance documentation.
- Act as a resource for employees seeking guidance on routine HR-related questions.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and general ledger management.
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable.
- Ability to perform month-end reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Knowledge in payroll processing and HR administrative tasks.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeper or accounting roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or operational environment.
Work Environment
The position is based in an onsite work environment at a small, family-owned manufacturing company.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Germantown, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
